Cuizina Italia Celebrates 1 Year of New Ownership with New Direction and Face Lift

June 1, 2004 - WOODINVILLE, WA - Cuizina Italia, Inc, a specialty pasta, soup and sauce manufacturer celebrated its first anniversary of new ownership with a new logo and name change.

After the re-purchase of the business by co-founder Ric Ferrera in June of 2003 the company is taking on a new look and name. The company was started 20 years ago as Ferrera Family, Inc then changed to Cuizina Italia to emphasize its Italian heritage and focus.

"Over the years we have transformed into a creative partner/producer and as such supplied ideas and recipes from all ethnic backgrounds. The name Cuizina Italia just didn't fit anymore," said Erik Bugge, Vice President of Cuizina.

The untapped potential for our services in all categories of the food business is boundless. At the same time we had 20 years of history and customer relations we are proud of and didn't want to lose that identity either.

We decided the subtle change to Cuizina Food Company was just the right to serve both goals.

Along with the name change, Cuizina hired Fossum Design to look at their corporate identity including Italian Flag logo and website. Fossum re-engineered the logo to keep some of the style points of the existing look but incorporated elements to represent all food not just Italian.

"Cuizina was a great team to work with. The creativity and passion that Ric and Erik brought to the project made the branding process collaborative and fun.", said Aaron Fossum.

The launch of the new look and website opens a new chapter in Cuizina's long history, not only continuing to service existing customers but adding the tools in production and sales to form alliances with new customers across all food product lines and cuisines.
